Social commentator Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo, has announced his journey to liberate the country from the shackles of dictatorship and corruption joining with the party that brought democracy in Malawi-the United Democratic Front (UDF).
Sunganimoyo said out of all political parties in Malawi, the UDF through Dr. Bakili Muluzi is remembered in the country’s POLITICAL history when it led Malawians in the transition to change for democracy from one-party state and dictatorship.
He said the UDF is not a smaller party in Malawi as many people are thinking, it is the biggest party having fought Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda and his MCP was not an easy job, it required courage and this was demonstrated with Dr. Bakili Muluzi and his UDF
.
Speaking through a video clip, Sunganimoyo said after supporting President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP, some senior members of the party do not want him to be advising the party for it to continue ruling Malawi in the next years to come.
Sunganimoyo said he is MCP and his parents held positions in the party saying he was supporting the MCP as one coming from the Central Region of Malawi where its districts are dominated by the Chewas and him being a Chewa, he is an automatic member of the MCP.
He said even though he has been supporting President Chakwera to do better and loved by most Malawians, he has suffered insults and castigations and this made the relationship which he had with the party to sour and was declared enemy number one of the MCP.
The social commentator said beside loving the MCP whole-heartedly, this did not please other senior members of the party and his audio clip released recently that three Quarters of MCP National Executive Committee (NEC) do not want Chakwera to continue as MCP leader and the party’s torchbearer in the 2025 elections.
He said the clip has made some people in the party to be following him through his two of WhatsAPP numbers and at one time, he escaped death by a whisker claiming that even President Chakwera is not happy with him as he bid farewell to him that he is withdrawing his membership from the MCP and will fight back the MCP from the other direction.
The social commentator said his journey from 12th December, 2024 has made him to land in the hands of the UDF, the party which fought for freedom and Malawi to receive the second independence in 1994 –the UDF.
“My job in the UDF will be helping to rebuild the party, bringing the lost trust Malawians has with the party, supporting the UDF leadership to win the 2025 elections and destroying both DPP and MCP for terrorizing and abusing Malawians for over 20 years,” said Sunganimoyo.
He has assured the UDF leadership and entire UDF membership that he has not come to the UDF to play on social media and releasing video clips but his interest is to work on the ground district by district to sell the UDF and its leadership so that in the September, 2025 elections, the party must come number 1 or 2.
