MCP announces 90 NEC elected members

Malawi Congress Party has announced new National Executive Committee (NEC) elected members .
MCP Secretary general Richard Chimwendo Banda urged the new elected members to work harder in order for the party to progress in providing development in this country.
Chimwendo also disclosed that the members who showed interest were 234 and only 70 members have made it to the final list.
He mentioned that eighteen extra members were elected by the regional, district and constituency chairman based on their commitment, loyalty and experience.
Banda added that MCP is not a family party but it’s for everyone not considering the tribe, region, religious and gender.
In her remarks party publicity secretary Jesse Kabwila said all elected party members are the MCP members, Malawians and they want President Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP to continue ruling the country.
Among party members who were at the press briefing were central chairman Zebron Chilondola, BabaSteven Malondela, Kezzie Msukwa, John Paul and Ken Msonda.
