Ecobank Malawi says it is committed to support Malawi’s agri-sector

In its endless efforts of scaling up Agri-profitability and food security in the country, one of the listed commercial banks Ecobank Malawi says it is committed to support the Agriculture sector at all levels.

This is according to the bank’s Head of Commercial banking Victoria Chanza who was speaking on Thursday when Ecobank Malawi presented a K1.5 million donation towards this year’s Agri- Finance Conference, organized by Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM) and CISANET.

“We are pleased to sponsor this event which seeks to contribute positively to the development of the Agric-sector in Malawi,” said Chanza.

On her part, Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Bankers Association of Malawi(BAM), Lyness Nkungula commended Ecobank for the sponsorship and support, describing it as timely.

“We are very thankful to Ecobank for the donation. This will help us alot in terms of the conference preparations,” she said.

The conference will be held at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe from July 13 to 14, 2023.
