One of the country’s leading alcohol brewing companies Castel Malawi has introduced a new 330ML bottle for its three spirits Malawi Gin,Malawi Vodka and Premier Brandy.
In a statement released on Thursday, Castel Malawi Deputy sales and Marketing manager Nelson Zoto Banda, says the 330ML bottle Malawi Gin and Vodka will be sold at MK2500 kwacha on retail price while Premier Brandy will be sold at MK4500
Banda indicates that the decision has been made in order to reach out to those people who cannot afford buy a 750ML bottle of the spirits.
He says, with the small bottles of the spirits, their customers will now be able to make about 11 percent profit.
Castel Malawi LTD is the leading producer and distributor of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Malawi.
For over 50 years, the company has supplied the Malawi market with global brands such as Castel Beer, Carlsberg beer, Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite.
The company is also well known for Malawi Gin and Sobo Squash.
It is owned by the Castel Group, a French beverages company which was founded in 1949, by Pierre Castel.
