Mchinji-based-side Extreme FC have become the first team from the district to be promoted into the top flight TNM Super League after beating Wimbe FC 2-0 at Aubrey Dimba Ground in Mchinji on Sunday afternoon.
Gregory Mwase was the hero of the day as he scored a brace in the 12th and 86th minute to ensure that his team finished first in the Chipiku Premier Division (Central Region).
With a game to wind up the season, Extreme have 17 points, five above Wimbe who are perched on number two.
Extreme FC have joined Chitipa United and Bangwe All Stars who will represent the Northern and Southern Region respectively.
