Malawi’s oldest media house Times Group has bid farewell to award-winning television and radio sports personality, Williams Gondwe popularly known as ‘Danger Left Winger’ who has left the institution to join Farm Radio Trust Organization in Lilongwe.
Gondwa is set to join the organisation next week and he has since thanked Times Group management for trusting him for over seven years.
“I would like to personally thank the Managing Director of Times Group, Mr Leonard Chikadya for the support he rendered to me during all the years that I have been with Times Group.
More importantly i would like to thank my colleagues at Times for the healthy professional and individual relationships we managed to build and sustain during my stay. May God reward each and everyone of them for their contribution towards my career and personal growth,” reads the statement in part.
Williams Gondwa launched his career as a sports presenter/ commentator over a decade ago when he joined Malawi Institute of Journalism’s MIJ FM after completing his studies at the institution.
He later joined Matindi Radio which was later sold to Times Group and changed the name to Times Radio.
