Lilongwe giants Silver Strikers and Kamuzu Barracks drew 1-all in the first leg of the Airtel Top 8 Cup quarterfinal played at Chitowe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Sammy Chiponda put the visitors ahead just three minutes into the match but Chawanangwa Kaonga levelled the scores for the Central Bankers 27 minutes later.
The second leg will be played on December 4 at Champions Stadium in Mponela, Dowa.
The final match of the K78 million cup is scheduled to take place on December 17 at a venue to be announced by the Football Association of Malawi (FAM)
Winners of this year’s competition will receive K17 million; runners-up K6 million and all participating teams will pocket K1 million each from Airtel.
