Lilongwe-based gospel artist, Kondwani Chirwa, is set to launch his new album titled Kumwamba Komweko this coming weekend on December 12th in Lilongwe.
Speaking in an interview, Chirwa explained that his third Album contains about ten songs with popular hits like Mzinda oyera, Kalipolipo, Kumwamba komweko and Ulemelero.‘’Ulemerero is my favourite song in this album, but I decided to name the album Kumwamba komweko. Because I have never come out with such a song like kumwamba komweko in my life and the lyrics are also powerful,’’ he said.
He further revealed that he combined some hymns from CCAP and Assemblies of God Churches in addition to some other praise and worship songs.The artist has since advised upcoming gospel artists to have an open mind and take advice from veterans because gospel music is not about competition but its rather complementing each other.
