The Blantyre City Presbytery of the CCAP Blantyre Synod is set to host the 2025 Jesus March in Blantyre on Saturday, April 12,2025.
The event was announced by Youth Director of the Blantyre City Presbytery, Rev. Sam Mtalika, during a press conference in Blantyre on Thursday.
Mtalika said this year’s march, which takes place on the eve of Palm Sunday, will begin at Kameza Roundabout and conclude at Saint Michael’s and All Angels.

Palm Sunday is a Christian feast that commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, marking the beginning of Holy Week.
The sacred period honors the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which occurred over 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem.
Mtalika explained that throughout the march, participants will be treated to inspiring sermons by esteemed speakers, including Blantyre Synod Moderator Reverend Humphreys Zgambo, Rev. Mtalika, and Evangelist Gospel Mavutula.
He said the event will also feature lively performances by Street Praise and various music groups from local congregations.
“The 2025 Jesus March is themed ‘Jesus is the Hope of Glory’,” said Mtalika.
