Taulo,Chilomba disqualified from ACB DG role
By Chisomo Phiri
The Office of the Ombudsman on Friday directed the Ministry of Justice to disqualify Oscar Taulo and Hillary Chilomba from consideration for the role of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General because the two are not qualified for the position.
The two candidates had been shortlisted and interviewed for the position.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe on Friday, Ombudsman Grace Malera said Taulo, at the time of shortlisting despite possessing a masters degree in law had not attained at least 10 years post qualification work experience as required.
The Ombudsman further, said Chilomba was irregularly shortlisted as he did not satisfy the requirements of the position.
She described this as maladministration by the Ministry of Justice in complying with the law.
