Wirima said Maneb has been releasing the results on time as well as leakage free.

Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) Executive Director Dorothy Nampota said out of 172,434 candidates who sat for the exams, 97,222 passed, representing a pass rate of 54.79%.

According to Nampota, this is an improvement from the 54.40% pass rate recorded in 2023.

Nampota said that 411 out of 734 have passed the examinations.

Nampota has since attributed the success for administration of the examinations  to the support from the government through the provision of required financial resources and support in the monitoring of the examination administration by all stakeholders.

“The deputy minister was also there, and all staff from the Ministry of Education supported us in the monitoring of examinations. We also did have the security agencies working directly, as well as teachers associations, school associations, education based civil society organizations, and educational division managers,” He said.
