Donald Trump proclaims he and his running mate, JD Vance, are “extremely normal people

By Burnett Munthali

In a fiery rebuttal to his critics, Donald Trump has proclaimed that he and his running mate, JD Vance, are “extremely normal people,” despite ongoing jabs from Democrats labeling them as “weird.” The 78-year-old former president fired back at Tim Walz, who had previously described the duo as oddballs.

During a rally in York, Pennsylvania, Trump defiantly stated, “You know, he said we’re weird. That JD and I are weird. I think we’re extremely normal people. We’re like you, we’re exactly like you.” Trump’s remarks were a direct challenge to the “weird” tag that’s been dogging his campaign.

Not one to let criticism slide, Trump then turned his ire on Walz, adding, “He is weird. Did you ever see him go on the stage and go, like, crazy?” This sharp retort underscores Trump’s strategy of deflecting negative labels by flipping the narrative onto his rivals.

As the political climate intensifies, Trump’s insistence on normalcy highlights his determination to present himself and Vance as relatable figures in the face of relentless scrutiny.
