Social media influencer Onjezani Kenani says in just five days, he has raised K7.8 million to assist with medical expenses for veteran musician Paul Banda, who has been battling kidney problems.
Writing on his Facebook page, Kenani says:”Today, on 13 July, we have woken up to almost K7.8 million. But it could be more if you chime in whatever you can. His needs are immense, and more is needed.
“Whatever we raise, we will hand it over to Sir Paul Banda next Wednesday. You can also contribute through Airtel Money on +265999604048 or TNM Mpamba on +265882187044 – both numbers belong to my younger brother, Mr. Blasto Kenani.”
He has however, thanked all those who have contributed to the initiative.
Keneni launched the initiative on July 9,2024.
Paul Banda is regarded as one of the country’s top legendary musicians, whose music journey started in the 1970s.
