Hip-hop artist and award winning graphics designer Kennedy Mwenya popularly known as ‘Spyral’ has died.
Mwenya died in road accident in Mzuzu where he went to attend a funeral for one of his relatives.
The artist won a number of awards in both music and graphics and designed a lot materials especially in the entertainment world.
Mwenya became very famous after doing a Chorus for Phyzix’s award winning song ‘Legends’ which featured some of Malawi’s veteran urban music artists
Last year, Mwenya who was working as a Graphic designer for FD Communications, won the Creative Artist of the Year award at the Institute of Marketers Malawi (IMM) prestigious Marketing Excellency Awards.
