Vice President Saulos Chilima’s journey to his final resting place in Ntcheu began with a poignant farewell in Lilongwe on Sunday 16 June 2024, where he lay in state for a final public viewing.

Mourners gathered to bid farewell to a leader whose legacy transcended political boundaries, reflecting on his impact on national development and unity.In a heartfelt tribute, attendees expressed gratitude for Chilima’s leadership and service, highlighting his profound influence on their lives and aspirations. “He will forever remain in our hearts,” remarked one mourner, echoing sentiments shared throughout the gathering.
