The Ministry of Education has maintained that it will continue promoting both the government sponsored or self-upgraded secondary school teachers through promotional interviews.
In a statement, Principal Secretary, Dr. Mangani Chilala Katundu said this is in response to the teachers concerns raised during a meeting that they held with the ministry on May 3, 2024.
Katundu said that during the meeting, the teachers requested for the automatic promotions, but he has clarified that the training does not automatically lead to promotion.
He added that, the government is working to consider those teachers who attended the previous promotion interviews but were left out due to unavailable vacancies and resources.
