MRP says salvage politics breaking Malawi into pieces
By Vincent Gunde
President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, says salvage politics is dividing and breaking Malawi into pieces warning Malawians that if care is not taken, the country’s future is bleak.
Jumah said educated politicians are using their positions in government to divide the country observing that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera attended a national event-14th May Kamuzu Day in party regalia meaning that the day was meant for pure MCP campaign.
He has condemned President Chakwera for shamelessly let salvage politics be given space to Malawians to practice it saying this type of politics is being practiced by those holding title holders; Doctors, Professors and Senior Consuls.
Speaking through his face book page followed by millions of people in Malawi and Africa, Jumah said Tonse Alliance government had a good vision of reintroducing 14th May, Kamuzu Day but instead of the day being a national day, the MCP turn it into itsl day.
Jumah said 14th May has been proved by the MCP to be MCP Day speaking for itself that there is no unity in Malawi and if there is one, it is only MCP who knows it saying the present MCP has divided the unity which was founded by Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda because of salvage politics.
He said Kamuzu was loved by Malawians from all walks of life, he preached unity that all Malawians regardless of tribes and regions observing that if 14th May Kamuzu Day was for unity, Dr. Bakili Muluzi, Madam Dr. Joyce Banda, Enock Chihana and other prominent politicians could have attended but they were nowhere to be seen because of salvage politics.
The MRP President said for Malawi to see concrete development, it must do away with salvage politics saying politicians must be baptized with mindset change observing that President Chakwera came to continue salvage politics by promoting and cementing divide and rule principle in politics.
“Real Malawians are regretting to have voted for Chakwera-a man of God into government and have labelled him the worse leader the country has ever had since the dawn of multiparty politics and democracy in Malawi,’ said Jumah.
He has advised Malawians to refuse salvage politics by rising up to liberate the country by themselves from the hands of people that have no hearts for the country’s future warning them that continued being quiet and watching the development, Malawians will continue to be ruled by salvage politics.
