“There is a whole market out there for the food we grow on our soils. I just came back from Egypt two days ago and President El- Sisi of Egypt told me himself that his country, which is mostly desert, needs to buy food and they want us grow it and sell it to them,” said President Chakwera.

President Chakwera further said that time has come that Malawians should own up their destinies rather than waiting for foreign aid.

“No one is coming here to feed us, so we must work the ground to grow the food necessary to feed ourselves,” Said President Chakwera
