Former CCAP Blantyre Synod Moderator, Reverend Edna Navaya has been laid to rest at HHI cemetery in Blantyre on Tuesday.
Navaya died of cancer on Sunday.
Speaking on behalf of President Lazarus Chakwera, Gender Minister Jean Sendeza called on women to emulate her determined life while serving God.
Born in 1969, Navaya was the first woman at the Blantyre Synod to be ordained as a pastor.
She is survived by a husband, four children and three grandchildren.
