Lilongwe-based motor vehicle dealer Chibiso Motors has on Wednesday unveiled Socialite Dorothy Shonga, popularly known as Cash Madam as its brand ambassador.
Chibiso Motors Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Ishmael Gringer Makawa said they have entered into a one-year-long deal with the influencer with the view of promoting their brand and services.
“She is one of the most influential people in Malawi and she is there at the top. We also opted for her as one way of empowering women. Her audience is the people that we believe can be our customers too. So, we are expecting that she leads in generating more leads,” he said.
However, Makawa fell short of revealing how much money is involved in the deal and only said “it involves millions” and is subject to renewal.
Commenting on the deal, Shonga said it is encouraging to see that local firms are seeing the value that individuals in the social and creative space are bringing in the formal sector and business realms.
Chibiso Motors is a motor and general dealers company which was established in 2015. Some of the services they offer include motor vehicle mechanics, spray painting, car alarm systems, panel beating, glass tinting, detailing and auto body polishing.
