FDH Bank donates K10 million towards IPMM’s lakeshore conference

FDH Bank plc on Wednesday donated K10 million to the Institute of People Management Malawi (IPMM) towards the hosting of its annual lakeshore conference to be held at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi from November 2 to 4,2023.

Speaking during the cheque presentation in Blantyre, FDH Bank plc senior manager for personal and business banking Elizabeth Phoya said the support is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.



“As you might have been aware, we have clocked 15 years as FDH Bank plc and we believe that the strength of the bank lies with human resources and staff members within.

“We believe IPMM plays a big role in capacity building and we would want to be a part of that in helping them continue on their mission,” said Phoya.

On his part, IPMM President Godwin Ng’oma thanked FDH Bank plc for the financial support which will help in preparing for the conference.

Thanked Ng’oma: “This conference is for all human resource professionals and practitioners in Malawi and we normally have it at the end of every year.

“This is a time when human resource professionals and practitioners come together to look at the environment we are living in and try to hone skills to best serve our people but also add value to our organisations”

To be held under the theme ‘Human resources management: Fostering productivity, diversity and change in a multi-generational technological driven workforce’, the conference will be graced by Vice-President Saulos Klaus Chilima who be be the guest of honour.
