Robert Blake temporarily closed after fire guts the school

Following the burning down of the library and two chemistry laboratories at Robert Blake Secondary school in Dowa by students, Deputy Minister of Education, Nancy Chaola Mdooko has on Friday, afternoon ordered temporary closure of the school for two weeks.

Mdooko ordered the closure after inspecting the school .



The Deputy Minister noticed severe damages caused at the school and immediately directed the authorities to get the culprits to book.

Mdooko also supported 10 stranded students with transport back home amounting to MK214,000.

The students burnt down the school on Thursday night, September 21, 2023, in protesting against strict new rules by the new Headmaster.
