Malawi Police are keeping in custody Reverend Peter Kandulu after a vehicle he was driving hit to death two pedestrians at Ngala trading centre in Nkhotakota district on Thursday night.
According to Police Spokesperson for Central East Region, Esther Mkwanda,the two deceased have been identified as Blessings Jere, 19, and Arnold Banda, 8.
Mkwanda says after the accident, Reverend Kandulu proceeded to Mzuzu police station where he surrendered himself.
She says Kandulu is expected to appear before court soon.
