Chakwera looking forward for productive AFREXIM BANK summit

President Lazarus Chakwera said the African Import and Export Bank Summit will give a chance to African leaders to disuss on how to use the bank to take Africa forward.

President Chakwera was speaking on Saturday before his departure for Accra, Ghana to attend the 30th Annual African Import and Export Bank Summit.



The Malawi leader indicated that African leaders are looking forward to reflect on the Banks perfornance since its inception and further discuss on how the Bank can be maximised to boost Africa’s trade.

“It is very critical that, we as Africans with the Bank that we started 30 years ago,should come together and disuss not just what is happening but what could have happened abd what should happen in order fot Africa to really take off as a continent,” said President Chakwera.

To be discussed under the theme “Delivering the Vision.Building prosperity for Africans”, the gathering will also provide an opportunity for African leaders to commemorate the bank’s 30th anniversary.
