Just three days after the death of musician WalyCris Wanyengo, death has also been announced of another promising musician William Kachigamba.
Kachigamba’s sister Patricia confirmed the development saying William passed on in the early hours of today, December 25 at Kamuzu Central Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
Kachigamba who was a member of Zion Rock Band was once sent to Zambia for treatment after fellow musician Patience Namadingo fundraised for him.
Born on 3 March, 1993, William Kachigamba hailed from Mvera in Dowa district.
Meanwhile the Association of People with Albinism (APAM) has described the death of Kachigamba as a big loss to the association and the music industry.
According to the Association, the death of Kachigamba has taken the number of cancer related deaths amongst people with albinism to 50 since 2020.
