Cholera on the Rise in Lilongwe

It is reported that four people have died and more than 35 have been admitted to hospital in Lilongwe where Cholera cases are once again on the rise.
Minister of health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has confirmed the development and described it as quite concerning.
According to the reports, the township most affected by the disease is area 36.
Meanwhile, Lilongwe city mayor Richard Banda has announced a ban on sale of cooked foods in the city such green maize, potatoes, cassava and others.
Usually cholera cases spike during rainy season in Malawi. It is therefore highly commended to always observe hygiene practices, and seek immediate medical attention inorder to stay safe.
