Man arrested for possessing Waterboard materials in Blantyre

Police in Limbe have arrested a 29-year-old man for being found in possession of property suspected to have been stolen.

The suspect has been identified as James Nembe from Wisiki Village Traditional Authority Machinjiri in Blantyre District.

In an interview, the Limbe Police Public Relations Officer Patrick Mussa told 247 Malawi News that the offence took place on February 25, 2022 at around 11:00 hours within Bangwe Township. Nembe was all alone in a maize field where he was found with some materials belonging to Blantyre Water Board.

The items include five water board metres whose value is not yet known. He was then taken to police for further investigations.
