Children at St. Andrews Daycare and Children Home-AQUAID-Lifeline orphanage were all smiles after Thyolo Active Youth Organisation, TAYO, and Change 4 US donated assorted items in celebrating Christmas.
AQUAID Lifeline Case Manager, Wiseman Nota, while commending the organisations for the gesture, says the orphanage which cares for about 200 children, is losing girls to pregnancy owing to in adequate financial support.
Both Executive director for Thyolo Active Youth Organization, TAYO, Willard Mwambo and Team leader for Change 4 Us, Kondwani Mwendo, say they thought of visiting the orphanage on Christmas to instil God’s Spirit of sharing to children.
The items include stationery, maize flour, soya pieces, washing buckets, soap, sugar, cooking oil and mosquito nets worth K300, 000
